The way we work:

karinbozIf you are in the market for a new wooden floor or your existing parquet (mosaic included) is in need of restoration, Karin Hermans - managing director and always at hand in the Charing showroom - is your first port of call (by phone, email or visit).

Together with you she will discuss all options available and possible for you. Knowing there are so many different high quality wooden floors to select from, we always kindly ask you to drop by in our showroom where you can see (touch!) over 78 large sample boards. This will give you a better first impression of what the grade and finish of your choice will look like.

In preparation for your visit you can of course also request access to the Full Colour Online Wooden Floor Ranges Brochure - filled with high resolution interior design images - by filling in your details in the form on the right hand side higher up this page.

If you have the measurements of the rooms you want to have installed with you, Karin will always be able to calculate a rather precise first (verbal) quotation for all materials and labour involved.

Some of our clients prefer to have a site-visit/survey done after they've visited our showroom. We're happy to do this and take precise measurements, but be aware there is a difference between carrying out a survey and a site-visit for measurements:

Survey: being able to check the state, condition and levelness of the underfloor - where if needed, moist readings will be taken also. A survey requires the existing floor covering to be removed beforehand. New builds or renovation projects often have no existing floorcovering, but in many other cases removing this is not practical for you at the time of the visit by Ton and/or Barry.

Site-visit for measurement: being able to take precise measurements of the room(s) the new floor has to be installed in or where the existing floor is in need of restoration. With new builds and renovation projects this means the to be measured area needs to be clear and fully accessible (without us having to climb over building materials or where walls still need to be removed/re-located).

After the site-visit / survey you will receive a very specified quotation by post or by email - which ever method you prefer most. A few days later Karin will contact you to make sure you received our documentation in good order and if you have any questions about any of the items in the quotation.

When you accept our quotation we require a first payment (most often 50% of the materials, in restoration projects this can be different), and a suitable for you delivery date and/or start date of the works will be discussed and booked in for you. You will receive our Order Confirmation, just like the quotation, detailing all materials, works and dates agreed on.

On the delivery date you can ask Ton and/or Barry any remaining (or new) question about the works to be started a few days later. Plus on the delivery date we will check the state and condition of the underfloor (again of if this had not been possible earlier for the first time). Therefore you will have to have any existing floorcovering fully removed. This is mainly to avoid delays (and extra costs) in those situations where ad-hoc preparation works on your underfloor needs to be carried out. On delivery the second payment becomes due.

After the works are carried out to your full satisfaction, we will leave you with our Maintenance Leaflet which tell you how easy it is to keep your natural wooden floor healthy and beautiful for many years to come (we even take the liberty to send you a "maintenance reminder" letter every 6 months). On completion of the works the remainder of the total amount is due.
