Basic Range - simple and beautiful

Simple and straight forward wood-engineered floors - 10, 13 or 15mm thick, simple but honest and suitable for most areas and design styles: many, many full plank pre-oiled wood-engineered like the Basic Oak Rustic or Basic Oak Nature grade (for the minimalist look in your home) and a small selection of other wood-types in pre-lacquered 3-strips.

Rustic Grade

The most poluar choice in this range: Basic Oak Rustic, oiled natural (and also available in a satin-mat lacquered version):

Filled with honest character, and has wide boards (190mm) and long lengths (1900mm) with a micro-bevel. Total thickness is 15mm and the normal T&G construction makes installation simple and quick.

NEW: In the 13mm section, the backing is high quality plywood (hence the lower total thickness of the board for the same stability).

Produced in The Netherlands, this unique 13mm thick high quality new wood-engineered board with a 4mm Solid European Oak top layer. In 9 varieties of colour oils at 180mm wide and one even 220mm wide (pre-oiled Grey). And all with water-resistant-plywood backing.

Just like the 20mm Hattan range, this thinner board is highly suitable with underfloor heating (glued down on concrete). Simple T&G construction for easy installation too. From Rustic Mix ABC to Character. An authentic European Oak boards to liven up any of your rooms.

For both the 13 and the 15mm, the Rustic Solid Oak top layer is 4mm thick with a smooth and oiled finish - easy maintenance and a beautiful appearance. 
Suits most circumstances like areas where there could be more moist (kitchens, hallways) or rapid changes in temperature (conservatories) and is even suitable on underfloor heating.

As with all oiled wood floors it becomes even more beautiful over time.

Our clients have installed this floor in living rooms, dining rooms, hallways, studies, conservatories, bedrooms. Basically in every area imaginable. Their interior design styles ranged from country to modern and the Basic Oak Rustic fitted in well with all.

An limited choice in honest Oak character and suitable for almost any underfloor (expect directly onto joists). This floor-type can be installed floating on suitable underlayment or glued down on concrete and plywood.

Nature Grade

For a very modern, even minimalist design style we can highly recommend the Basic Oak Nature: same construction as above but with a more even and lighter appearance. Very in favour with our clients who want to 'lighten-up' one or more of their rooms with an honest and natural product that will give them easy maintenance and the look they are after.  

Again, the most poplar choice in this grade is Basic Oak Nature, oiled or satin-mat lacquered natural

10/3 boards

10mm thick with 3mm Solid Oak top-layer - now in numerous finishes available. Engineered wood at its best with great value for money.
Ideal for those cases/spaces where height is an issue,

The 10/3 range is an unique wood-engineered board by SolidFloor (TM) for when height is an issue: 3mm Solid Top layer on 7mm ply backing, ideal specially for those suffering from Asthma or allergies in situations where other wood floors would add too much height to the construction this is the best real wood option.
Normal veneer boards only go as far as 2mm top layer, most common are the 0.6 or 1.6mm. Which makes the 10/3 a genuine high quality and durable wood-engineered floor.

3-strip boards

And don't forget the simple honest Oak Rustic 3 strip lacquered wood-engineered floor, nothing wrong with this option. It's the floor type that originally started the whole wood-engineered trend. Where every board has 3 rows of small strips of Oak (kind of resembling old-fashion parquet flooring).

Suitable installation methods:

• glued-down (fully bonded) with flexible adhesive on any level, sound and dry concrete floor or plywood/OSB subfloor - using a correct notched trowel
  
• or safely installed floating on top of the correct underlayment for your type of underfloor.

1* = it is recommended, after your floor is installed, to apply one coat of maintenance polish straight away to enhance the protection against dirt and drips. Some factory finished floorboards are sparsely finished with oil to prevent sticking of the boards during storage.
